Urge the Council to reduce the proposed 55% increase to burial costs in Birmingham from April 2019

please its hard enough to loose someone. atleast find more grounds for burials. instead of adding more misery to families

I am disgusted that the Council has taken this step to.increase the cost of burial. A highly callous and inconsiderate manouevre. I would like to see a reductuon not an increase ikn such costs. The council needs to show sensitivity and serve the public in the best way they can , not extort them and make things more difficult for the bereaved family. I will proest this charge all the way

It is a shame that the council is cashing on the dead .

This internment service is an essential community service to council tax payers. The service is guaranteed to be used as death comes to all and as such it should be funded from the council tax revenues in much the same way as police and recycling services are. Its the very last service that a dead citizen will ask its council to perform for him. In a civilised caring society the service should be provided free of charge at the point of use.
