Burying the dead shouldn't have a financial burden on anyone including the deceased before the time of death. Increase in funeral expenses doesn't make sense.

Most certainly cost should be cut as proposed. Costs elsewhere in the country are lot lower in comparison to Birmingham.

Living costs are already crippling people on low incomes or those just struggling to survive. This is now an extra added burden. The Council should look to cut internal cost, reduce the layers of bureaucracy which should help reduce costs and then there won’t be a need to increase costs for the dead.

The council already get good wages and thats from the publics pockets this is disgraceful and people cant bury there dead without getting in debt. Directors and chief executor get paid so much which the public money then you expect us to pay extra for burials were do you think will get the money when this time is very stressful for people to worry about paying for burials bham council are not taking peoples situation seriously its a disgrace

I feel very strongly about this as many people cannot afford the price at today’s prices as it stands. The elderly have a lot to worry about already and people like myself to.

55% burial costs atrocious how are we gonna be able to afford it? We living in a struggle and whne we die it will be a struggle, we can barely support ourselves. This is nonsense!

Please reject the increase to burial costs as the increased costs will result in many difficulties for familes who struggle to meet the cost of a burial in Birmingham which is already high.

Shameless and senseless proposed increase by the council.
Reduce the costs of running the council by reducing the allowances paid to councillors, salary of top three layers of officers and the money wasted on food and drinks at official meetings.
