If passed into law, the Freedom of Information bill will strengthen and provide for an effective implementation of the Constitutional guarantee of people's right to information on matters of public concern.

In the plight of recent events concerning the pork barrel scam, the Bill must be passed into law urgently as this will institute transparency in the government and in order to prevent the same crisis and other forms of corruption from happening.
