I feel unsafe going to classes

I agree with this petition, for it lines up with the Jeanne Clery Act; a federal law that requires US colleges to immediately notify the campus of ongoing threats and to have plans established to prevent them.

First time I heard of something going on was 8:54 pm on 2/17. First email / notification I received from campus was at 10:00pm.

When the whole ordeal is over, the school needs to release an official unrestricted report of what happened to the student body that has a link to the official police report as well...

There ZERO reason the school had yet to release a statement. And the fact that the teachers had NO CLUE what had happened is beyond ridiculous! Students had class at 8am the day after being locked out of campus till 2am

Please be more transparent and proactive regarding safety. I was left feeling disappointed in ERAU regarding communication and safety protocol. As a leader in STEM we should be on the cutting edge of safety technology not struggling with an inadequate responses and systems. It’s embarrassing really.

Do better we don’t feel safe abt I’m talking about over 30k safe per semester.

My daughter is in her second year at ERAU. The administration should comply with every ask in this petition, not only for transparency but to ensure measures are in place and actionable in the event of a real world active shooter.

As a parent I want to know the safety plan and call for improvements for security.

We need this planned outlined so we can better prepare during any point of the day!

Between the 2021 shooting threat and this most recent one. Student didn’t feel fully informed, therefore not knowing if the threat is actually over. We didn’t even know the person was arrested at 4am until around noon the same day. I do understand wanting to know the facts before informing people, but at the same time not knowing anything will increase fear an anxiety. I was Class of 2024, but still have a lot of friends on campus who are still afraid of going to campus.

My daughter attend ls ERAU. I believe a detailed report is not only necessary but should be a requirement.
