3am is too late to come back to campus especially, if a student lives on campus.

We definitely need a higher preparedness and transparency. Given events all over the nation (and now numerous threats here), there's a VITAL need for stringent investigation, preparedness, and heightened security protocols. Behind the scenes, one doesn't see the numerous things people do or say online that make us worried for our safety in the presence of bad actors. This needs attention.

As long as the plan/information shared does not put anyone in danger if there are any future issues.

With over 37 years of experience in the physical and electronic security and surveillance industry—spanning pharmaceutical, aviation, hospitality, and education sectors; it is my professional opinion that ERAU’s Daytona campus has several gaps in its physical security profile that warrant improvement. I am interested in reviewing the institution’s plan to address these gaps and further harden campus security.

It isn’t the 1st time there was a potential tragedy. In Dec 2021 there was a student that sold he car and bought guns with the money. He was planning on going target practice in the morning then head to the union at lunch time and take out as many people as he could while working his way to the security office to “take care of them”. His friends found out and called it in. The cops were at his apartment complex in the morning he was planning this.

I was locked in a storage closet for 3 hours. They didn’t know where we were. We had to inform them that we were still in the building. 4th stories also experienced this as they were evacuated even later. This is not safe.

Lock down of one building is not a real lockdown. Evacuation of one building allows a perpetrator to be anywhere on campus. Police response should be close to immediate. Please find the glitches and fix them.

The negligence, and lack of transparency is appalling.

Hugely disappointed that classes were not canceled the next day. The anxiety and the stress that is caused by a situation like this warrants some downtime to process, and let adrenaline settle. My daughter had a test first thing the next morning and had been up almost the entire night making sure her residents were OK. Absolutely unacceptable.
