Dear Premier Barnett, The nuclear industry begins with uranium. This radioactive mineral is the fuel for both nuclear power and nuclear weapons and all of it becomes nuclear waste. Many Australians do not share your enthusiasm for mining uranium in WA. If your nuclear dream becomes reality we will face growing pressure to become the worlds uranium quarry and radioactive waste dump and leave a legacy for future generations of permanent pollution in our unique environment. URANIUM IS THE ASBESTOS INDUSTRY OF THE 21ST CENTURY - THE STUFF WORKS, BUT IT IS HIGH COST & HIGH RISK. Please let me know what action you will take for the industry to have a full public enquiry before it is too late - don't let your political legacy be a radioactive one for W.A.
