Voters July 14 refused to allow the town of Rumford to increase the municipal tax levy beyond a $7.5 million. We call on Kirsten Figueroa, Commissioner of the Maine Department of Administrative and Financial Services (DAFS), to uphold state law L.D. 1 and require the town government of Rumford to reduce the municipal budget to conform with the voters' wish to support a $7.5 million cap on the municipal tax levy.

Rumford’s mil rate is one of the highest in the state people want to rein in spending.
We don't need any more under the table deals we are broke now
Do your job and uphold the law and the expressed will of the people of Rumford.
We all have tightened our belts...time for the Town of Rumfird to do it too!
Time to do something about the over spending.

Less spending by the town makes for citizens to stay here and happy . Already voted to stay within LD 1 Put energy into other needed things!
