As a coach of the Queens University baseball team it is quite embarrassing to have teams travel 5 hours to our un-mantained fields

Not that anything will be done about it, but the state of all public sports facilities, not only baseball fields, in Kingston is embarrassing to say the least

Upgrading this diamond and bringing it up to standards would not cost a lot of money. The money goes even further when you consider how many kids and families would benefit from using this diamond. Not a huge investment for lots of return.

The soccer fields have not, and do not meet the standards of most other municipalities either.

fields are in very poor condition you do not have to travel far Napanee to see waht a properly maintained field looks like and that is what our kids deserve As a player and devoted fan lets get the diamonds in the condition they should be for our kids and visiting teams to our city

Fix 3rd av, I have been playing baseball for 25 years and this is by far one of the worst fields I have ever played on. There are so many hazards. It is frightening to play both infield and outfield on it. Thank you

I have been wanting to get this going since I moved to Kingston 3 years ago. So much baseball history, embarrassed to host teams.

Among other things our diamonds need proper irrigation. I get cancelling a game if it's pouring rain with lightening, but to have to cancel when it's sunny out because it rained earlier in the day is insane.

There is more to this city than the "downtown".

Proper field maintenance is long overdue. It is embarrassing when teams come to Kingston and see the abysmal cow pastures we have for diamonds!

Fix the fields!

I agree. Our diamonds seem to be the last thing on the mind of the city. They're pretty quick to cancel play on them if we've had rain, but not so quick with the lawnmowers and graders in good weather.
