This is an ongoing problem that goes back more than 15 years.

Could use some work on our ball diamonds as some are unsafe and kids play here too.

The fields need to be fixed. For too long have all players had to worry about anything themselves on the unkempt fields

It is sad when the city charges user fees but can't maintain the fields (cut the grass) when they are scheduled to be used. It is an embarrasment to invite teams from ot of town to play on our diamonds. Where is your PRIDE Kingston!

What are we paying for if all the city does is the occasional lawn mow? There needs to be a higher standard of upkeep for all diamonds, not just specific ones.

Our city is great.... Our fields are not! Take pride Kingston on supporting our youth and adults with "great facilities" we deserve it!!

I want my tax dollars to go to improving our diamonds. The city can't even keep the grass cut before games. The fields should be first rate so we can be proud to host the visiting teams and confident that the children are safe.

This is unacceptable, particularly when people pay the amount of taxes that they do. The use of these facilities but children contributes to their development of healthy lifestyles which in turn will have beneficial affects on our health care system. We need to look at the bigger picture when maintaining such facilities.

It is time for the city to take an active step in improving the diamonds within this city. You are missing a very large market for future development of softball and fastball within Kingston. As a team that travels into Kingston for games on a regular basis it very upsetting to find garbage all over the place, backstops that are not maintained, diamonds that are rock hard, grass that is so long the girls can hardly find the ball if one should roll into the field. Lights not being assailable from the diamond but having to resort to running into an arena to turn them on if need be is craziness. The biggest issues is these diamonds do not meet the Softball Regulations - Their are dimonds within this city that do not meet basic safety requirements. They are unsafe for all parties playing at these fields. http://www.softball.ca/english/about/regulations/playing-field.html "if you build it he will come" field of dream

As a player for the Kingston Ponies for the last few years, it's embarrassing to play on such a poorly maintained diamond.

Played baseball my whole life, always was such an embarrassment to have teams play on our fields when other city's fields are so nice. Something needs to change.
