Dear Mr. Darren Sotto and Mr. Maxwell Frost. Orlando is the nation’s 5th fastest growing metropolitan area and is ranked as the 22nd largest metro area in the Nation. However, the Orlando Veterans' Health Administration is not receiving the appropriate locality pay for a large metropolitan area. Please facilitate the inclusion of the Orlando VHA in the General Schedule Locality pay of the MIAMI-FORT LAUDERDALE-PORT ST. LUCIE, FL GS Locality. An updated survey of the Orlando VHA area should help show that we are a large metropolitan economy that warrants an increase in locality pay from 16% to 22%; the same as those large metropolitan cities mentioned above. The higher locality pay will also improve the chances of hiring skilled staff and ensure their retention and loyalty to the Orlando VHA. Thank you for your time and support in this matter.

Locality increase should definitely be considered for the Orlando area to meet the demand of increased Cost of Living. I relocated here in 2020 due to a promotion from a GS-8 to GS-9 and two years later, my net pay still does not equal what I was bringing home as a GS-8 in Miami.

Please include us. It has gotten SO expensive here that I cannot afford to live on my own without a roommate/s and/or getting a 2nd job, because OT is taxed heavily it's pointless, and that is just unacceptable.
