The dogs at FCDS deserve better. The citizens and taxpayers of Franklin County deserve better. It's not that hard to save lives. All it takes is a director and staff who care and try just a little bit to do their jobs.

We adopted our second dog from Franklin County. We feel that there was not real transparency with some of his behaviors when we adopted him. He is lucky enough that we love him and put forth many hours and work through his anxiety and obsessive behaviors. With him being a Rottweiler/Lab mix I can see where many others would have returned him. He had already been in the shelter for 3 months and was half price adoption because of this. He is truest our boy, but we would have liked a more truthful assessment so we could of helped him quicker after adopting.

Should be a no kill shelter. They have a fairly new shelter, now hire people who know how to work with dogs.

No lives should be lost due to negligence, bureaucracy and lack of proper rescue protocols. Every life is previous.

I do NOT understand why Franklin County Dog Shelter call them self's a NO KILL shelter when there is 10 dog's a night being euthanized. If Franklin County knew what is really going on how their tax money is being spent, maybe they would speak up about it. The state NEEDS to get involved because this IS false advertisement to tax payers.

The system at this shelter is broken and methods used to evaluate are archaic. So many poor animals are senselessly killed and change is well over due.

It is completely inhumaine and totally wrong and unexceptable!! These poor animals deserve a wonderful home and a second chance at life. I got one so why wouldn't every mans best friend have one too with the most unconditional love ever known to humans!!!!

Changes need to be made to our county shelter. Too many good dogs are killed because of crazy, outdated testing.

Come on franklin county..move into the 21st century and help furbabies find a loving home instead of creating situations for euthanasia..be fair to these furbabies..your shelter is suppose to be about helping animals not destroying them!!!
