I have recently pulled a dog through a rescue I foster for. Fonzie was a rescue only due to a VERY bad assessment. I was appalled at how severely matted he was!! He had been there long enough he should have been groomed. Fortunately for Fonzie he had a happy ending and is now in a wonderful forever home. There was NO reason this dog could not have been groomed and put on the adoption floor. How many more wonderful dogs are going to lose their chance to live because of uncaring individuals to lazy to take the time for each dog.

It is a disgrace that you kill so many dogs EVERY DAY! You are wasting my tax $$$$ which I do not approve of. Fix it now!!!!

Your assessment procedures are out dated and it seems your organization needs completely retrained. You no longer have the fostering a dog program and you have done away with cat testing which is unacceptable and irresponsible. Many changes need to be made NOW

We need to change the procedures for assessments on the dogs that land.in the shelter. I fully believe that FCDS and the Commission needs to research other No Kill shelters to find procedures and practices used in running a successful No Kill shelter. It is proven in many shelters that it can be done. Please let's work on this.

This shelter is dishonestly assessing animals to give them a kill status , cages are empty but yet they are continually putting these animals down, most cannot even reach the adoption floor due to unfair assessments!

Columbus has been an up and coming ace to live and visit. The city has so much to offer alongside so much culture. We have large sporting teams, even venues, and attractions -which bring people here. The next step out city needs to make is for the pets. A no kill shelter to show these neglected animals they are loved even though someone did them wrong.

Please stop the murdering at the Franklin County Shelter. This is so against the humane place this shelter was built to be. Testing is far from what it is supposed to be and dogs are being murdered daily for some small things that can be changed ... please pay attention to your voting citizens. We do have a voice for all these poor animals.
