Please, with all the resources available, why aren't you doing more to stop the killing? Your vermin problem is so bad that rats brazenly crawl on subway riders , yet you're killing cats like crazy instead of making an effort to TNR ferals to control the rat population! And why aren't you doing more to provide low cost spay-neuter and outreach to prevent pets from ending up in AC to begin with? Manhattan is dripping with multimillionaires, but you can't take some low-cost basic steps to make NYC a little more humane? This is the 21st Century, but you can't seem to get out of the catch-and-kill mode. And why in God's name do you tolerate a system which forces its workers to KILL on a daily basis? You know, after a while it's going to effect them psychologicaly too! I hope New Yorkers wake up and start electing officials who actuallly give a damn about having a humane city.

The so called Care Centers are a sham .They are all High Kill Centers with unhelpful staff and a Director who just kills. Some only get 18 hours others adopted or rescued get killed before they arrive.Criminal charges need to be laid on all in charge

I would like to see New York become a No-Kill city. I believe that it is the right way to go with our beloved fur friends.

The NYCACC needs an immediate overhaul. The killings are horedous daily. The staff in place are not equipped to run a shelter. Something must be done NOW

Reform the TBD Lists - more time should be given for these animals to find adopters and fosters.

I vote for that, they are killing healthy and even young dogs daily. They don't even get enough time to be exposed to media, to get a chance to get adopted. The government must help to provide more No Kill Shelters where dogs can stay until they get adopted. I'm pretty sure with people volunteering, donating, sharing, adverting and campaigning, every dog will have a chance to get adopted. It's horrible what they are doing, We are critizating China for the Yulin Festivals, yet this is not better, and we are USA, come on, we can be and do better than that to our pets.

Please stop the abuse here. Employees are made to sign papers to not talk about what goes on in shelter. Heart stick missed over and over on same animal. This is a place of horror!!!!
