Update Animal Care Centers of New York City (NYC ACC) to No-Kill

THEY NEED TO STOP MURDERING PERFECTLY HEALTHY ADOPTABLE DOGS AN WORK HARDER TO FIND THEM HOMES. IF THEY LOWERED THERE ADOPTION FEES IT WOULD GET MORE ADOPTED ALSO! STOP MURDERING DOGS

They're is no good reason to kill innocent, healthy animals. They ask deserve life!

NYC ACC HAS DAILY KILL LISTS AND EVERYDAY THOSE LISTS GET LARGER!! ALMOST ALL ANIMALS EUTHANIZED ARE HEALTHY AND ADOPTABLE!! FOLLOW THESE ANIMALS THREADS AND YOU WILL SEE FOR YOURSELVES THE CRUEL, HEARTLESS MURDER OR THESE PRECIOUS CATS AND DOGS THAT ONLY WANT TO LOVE HUMAN BEINGS!! PLEASE IMPLEMENT NO KILL!!

Shameful that the most vital city in the world has such a poor, antiquated animal care system. ACC does nothing to get adoptable animals homes. It is much easier to kill them quickly. If it were not for the heroic efforts of a select group of Rescues, virtually no companion animal would make it out of ACC alive.

Shameful that most important city in the world has such a rotten animal care system. No excuse for this shelter. ACC puts no effort into getting animals placed. If it were not for the efforts of a small group of rescues, the killing would be even worse.

It is shameful that the World's greatest city has such a terrible, antiquated animal shelter. Animals entering the ACC invariably get sick because the Centers are filthy. This dooms many of them to death. The system put in place by the ACC is so haphazard and convoluted that it makes it unnecessarily difficult for potential adopters to navigate. The ACC puts no effort into getting animals adopted. If it were not for the heroic efforts of a select group of Rescues, pretty much any animal entering ACC would be doomed.

Other cities have become "no-kill" and wondering why NYC cannot. You cannot call your city visionary if you don't implement these improvements. Thank you for your consideration of our petition!

18 hours is not enough to give a dog a chance to be adopted

NYCACC NEEDS to be made a NO Kill ASAP!! Hundreds of thousands of Adoptable PETS are being KILLED EVERYDAY!!!

Its sad that people have dogs and abuse them in many different ways. To have them abandoned to be found and taken to the shelter and be killed is outrageous!!!!! Im looking to foster a pit but with this ban that isnt enforced, no shelter will allow me to get one. #NoReasonToKillTheAnimals

I want an accounting of where the $ is going. Why is this such a notoriously high kill shelter?

The definition of a "shelter"- whether for people or animal- doesn't include ANYPLACE that kills its residents for space. If we killed the homeless in shelters because of lack of space, we would not call them shelters- we'd call them gas chambers. Animal shelters are no different- it's not a shelter if the end result is death. End these kill shelters. There are so many better ways.

Stop the killing......give time for dogs and cats to be adopted

NYC had better straighten up and start treating animals the way that they deserve to be treated!! These centers MUST start caring, and become NO-KILL!! Start respecting these poor dogs and cats. SHAME ON YOU!!

Things need to change... let those tax dollars go towards new laws , animal education, looking over breeding... and most of all keep more animals alive
