I used to attend La Sierra University and grew up in the SDA church and sadly I am not at all surprised that Seventh-day Adventist treated survivors the way that they did. This needs to change.

As a past student and former faculty member, as well as being a professional social worker, I stand with the students and those faculty, who realize that survivors of asexual assault and harassment, must be supported, respected and protected on this and every campus. La Sierra must step up and forward in doing so without flinching!

It's unfortunate and shameful especially since I am an Alumni of this University. I hope the University and it's faculty correct their errors by helpING and support the victims and prevent future and present injustice by punishing their assailants. Stand up!

I went to La Sierra for a time and silencing sexual misconduct/assault at this school should not be tolerated.
