All pet toys need to meet safety standards that ensure there are no parts that can break off or be swallowed, no choking hazards and no harmful or carcinogenic substances. They should be tested for safety just as toys for humans are.

All potentially unsafe toys should be removed. Period. Would you give something potentially unsafe to a child?

You do know that ANY type of rope toy is considered dangerous for dogs and should ONLY be played with under supervision? I mean, they warn pet owners about this from day one:
"I don't actually know of any responsible dog owners who allow their dogs to have those rope toys because too many dogs have needed emergency surgery to save their lives after they get obstructions from all the strands they swallow. "

Walmart should step up and remove these chew toys immediately. Their initial response was unacceptable!
