The food service at Beta Theta Pi has consistently failed to meet the agreed upon standards as outlined in the lease agreement, as well as basic nutritional guidelines. The agreed upon number of meals has not been provided consistently. Allergen content has not been labeled. Food has been rotting. A resident of the house had to be taken to the Emergency Room for anaphylaxis due to unlabeled food allergens. We expect a change in food service providers, and an opportunity to inspect any written agreements with existing and future food service providers.

im still combing through all the horror stories you guys are sending me about the kitchen and its honestly making me so angry. ive been talking to the house board behind the scenes and they cant keep acting like this is just a minor complaint. we need new management immediately.

it feels like everyone is finally realizing how serious this situation really is. seeing this kind of movement gives me way more confidence that we can actually force a real change in how things are run around here.

What I think would be a great idea is to have the board come and join them for dinner impromptu sort of thing so they Can experience what it’s like to eat at the house. Maybe then they’ll realize what the boys are talking about and why they are frustrated and disappointed with the food service.

From what I’ve witnessed it’s very disappointing to see the The boys have been served subpar food I know it’s expensive but they definitely haven’t gotten their moneys worth it seems like there’s a shortage in food and if they aren’t there on time they don’t get to eat. Also they are having to spend a lot of extra money to get food they should already have.

Food is very low quality and there are often not many healthy options. Many times we are served the same meals over and over again

This food is unacceptable for the prices we pay. There should be some standard food (fruit, bread, peanut butter/jelly, cereal, granola bars) available at all times. This needs to be addressed. Or, don't charge a food fee and let them figure it out on their own.

I thought I was going to die when I had my allergic reaction to the food that they were serving us.

Why can the sororities serve quality food? The ladies are literally getting surf and turf, and truffle mac and cheese and our boys are getting food served on moldy bread!!! What is going on???? If these boys are not going to get decent meals please let them have the option to opt out of the meal plan. This issue is getting beyond silly already. No one in charge of these food decisions should be ok with what is going on.

that pic is gross. We pay alot and expect better for our young men. Sororities seem to have good food usually-why isn't this an option? I'm really angry that this continued for an entire year and I've spent alot on outside food that was purchased b/c of the below par food at Beta.

I voiced my concerns last fall, I agree- the food should be much better, and readily available.
