I'm having my studies affected by having to look for a part-time job rather than study. They are scarce in Liverpool and regularly are at hours completely unsuitable to coincide with your studies. With out appropriate financial support for students (including myself) exclusion from most activities occurs due to financial reasons that result having to spend time petitioning for what should be in place rather than yet again getting on with studying.

The University of Liverpool is renowned for being one of the more welcoming Russell Group institutions to students from every background. Please commit to giving the same amount of financial support to those who need it to allow students to continue their education and fulfil their potential, regardless of social 'class'.

The university has a responsibility to its students to provide them the best education possible, even in the light of Governmental cuts such as this. Education is paramount, and should not have to suffer when the gap can be plugged by the University.
Without funding, I never would have been able to afford University - yesterday I graduated with a Masters after 4 years at Liverpool. Whilst the Government is to blame, the University has a responsibility to continue a commitment to widening participation.

Education should be available to everyone who wants it. Given that the present government do not agree, the university should continue its commitment to widening participation. Until of course a more socially aware government is elected (for 'until' read '2015')

It is disgusting that the government continues to attack students for a recession they had nothing to do with.

The widening participation agenda is absolutely key to ensuring that disadvantaged students from a variety of backgrounds have the support they need to have an opportunity to access the education that they deserve

I know people who currently receive this grant, and it seems http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/university-of-liverpool-should that they should be disadvantaged
