We can not compete against unemployment, nor should we. There is a major disconnect right now. A record number of positions are unfilled, yet there is a record number of people unemployeed!
This is unsustainable!

Need's to stop , come September when unemployment stops don't hire .
There causing the landscape industry to over pay for individuals that have no skills, 1st year employee's making
$15.00 to $18.00 hr, come on.
I advertise for Landscape crew leader ,pay scale $20.00 to $25.00 hr. plus benefits and bonuses
no one applies.
Every business in my area need's employee's , one business need's 142 employee's in just one of there buildings alone.

The free money being given to individuals has most definitely affect getting people for my business. 2020 was tough and 2021 is starting out even tougher. It is sad to see the work ethic in this country eroding the way it has. If the “Greatest Generation” had had the work ethic of today’s generations, I would most likely not have a business and all the freedoms that I am fortunate to have. America, get back to work!

I have been advertising for help, paying $30- $45/ hour. Not one response! These Federal incentives to not work, have got to stop!

Americans earn their money. No handouts. Handouts just raised the price of commodities. Look at gas prices since Biden took office.

I too have had an extremely hard time finding workers to supply the demand for our workload and to provide jobs as we grow our company. I’ve spent near $2000 in 6 weeks and have had one applicant who accepted the job then didn’t show up the first day of work. Same last year. I hired 4 people last spring to which none are still with me today. Pitiful.
