In spite of several job web postings, I have been struggling to hire someone since November. I finally have one starting in April, but need more. I am unable to take any new work and have dozens of leads I cannot act on. I should be booming right now, instead I am considering closing my company. I've lost count of how many people have flat out told me they will only work for CASH because they are collecting unemployment. One guy demanded $750 cash per week to mow grass on my equipment! Another told me if he did not bring home at least $1,800 biweekly AFTER TAXES, I was just wasting his time! The government is doing irreversible damage to our economy, and it will be too late after millions of jobs disappear because employers simply give up.

The government is the cause of this current problem! The current participants of these programs are only hurting them selves by getting hooked on another form of welfare.

Yes we too are having a terrible time finding folks to work. I've had many tell me they'd rather sit at home and make a little less than get up and go to work. Our gov't is really hurting small businesses. The problem is they know it and planned it this way.

I recently listened to a conversation in the check out line at the grocery store. The one person was telling the other that he had no intention of going back to work as long as the government assistance programs were in place. He was making more money sitting at home than he did at his old job plus additional assistance he was receiving while claiming to be unemployed. When he finished checking out he paid his food bill we food stamps. It's time to get back to work America.

Our country was not built by people living off the government. It was built by hardworking innovative individuals. Also minimum wage was not designed to make a career out of. It’s a place to start and work hard to move up.

Recently was asked if we could pay more than $25.00 per hour to start with no experience. My reply was really? I was informed by this individual that he is at least making that amount per hour sitting on the couch as well as receiving housing assistance , insurance through the State and food for the home. Who wouldn't want to stay home?

Haven’t been able pursue any of the many new customers requesting services for almost a year. Can only meet minimum requiirements of current contracts by paying current staff 10-20hrs per week overtime.

Eliminate the returning workers exemption for H2B or increase the cap. We do not have any workers here in the us that want to do landscaping and we are paying a premium on wages and still cannot get anybody to apply.
