We request you to sign the online petition and support the Teachers' Principals' Struggle, which is being implemented as another step in various co-operation programs, including the campaigns carried out by the "Coalition of Unions and Mass Organizations Against Repression" to support the teachers' struggle.
We demand the government to immediately grant the reasonable demands of the teacher-principal, including the elimination of salary anomalies for the last 24 years !!

Teachers' Salary adjustment which was deprved for almost 24 years is not a demand, but a necessacity with the rocket high cost of living in this country and one must understand that an unskilled worker's monthly income is higher than what a teacher gets.
ගුරුවරුන් ඉල්ලා සිටින්නේ වැටුප් විෂමතාව ඉවත් කිරීමට මිස වැටුප් වැඩිවීමක් නොවේ. අර්බුදය තවත් බරපතල නොකර සමස්ත වැටුප් වැඩිවීමකට පෙර ගුරුවරුන් ගේ වැටුප් විෂමතාව ඉවත් කරන්න. වසර 24ක් තිස්සේ කුමක් කරේදැයි අසන ඔබම තව වසරකින්, වසර 25ක් තිස්සේ කුමක් කරේදැයි අසනු ඇත.

My sister is a teacher and I see everyday how hard she dedicated to her profession and also I see how hard she try to cover her expenses with the very low salary she gets.. The salary scale for teachers is way below what they should get for their efforts..
