Please do not redistrict our children. My child has been with the same classmates since kindergarten and it would be devestating for him to have to move to a new school as he enters 8th grade. It is not fair that our children should be moved to make room for children who don't even live here yet. Please find another way to fix the problem.

We moved here 7 years ago for the schools we were assigned to. We stayed here for the same reason. Keep our kids were they were supposed to go and fix the problem. My child shouldn't be punished because you keep issuing approval for new housing.

Redistricting is NOT the solution! It is merely a temporary fix, how can the members of the BOE continue to utilize the Mckibbon report when it was utterly erroneous in predicting the growth in north western Union county! Whose brother in law is he? When you repeat the SAME mistakes over and over again is that not the definition of madness? At the very least it is the definition of incompetence!

Took over 1 year to find yhe house we wanted in the school district we wanted "Weddington" then got redistricted to Cuthbertson. Seems silly to send us to a school more than 5 miles away when we are 2 miles from Weddington and 3 from Cuthbertson.

Please do not rezone our kids. They have believed and hoped they would be Cuthbertson Cavaliers when they leave New Town Elementary. Do not take away their dreams! My oldest is in 4th and in AIG. He NEEDS the advanced academics offered at Cuthbertson!

Rezoning or redistricting in lieu of a solid, research based growth plan is unacceptable. Families such as ours thoroughly researched areas prior to making the decision to build or buy. Many, if not most of us made out decisions based on several factors, schools being on the top of that list of factors. New development and new families as well as existing families are paying the tax bills around here and our concerns and requirements should be factors in any plan that rolls out. Ultimately, the county needs to do their due diligence and come up with a legitimate, sensible and efficient plan to accommodate the growth in this area. Fort Mill and other developing areas have also encountered growing pains, and in making smart decisions have succeeded and remain top on the list of desirable places to raise a family. Union county needs to take notes and keep us on that list as well.

It appears that some of our signees who live in Union County are showing up on the list as if they are not in Union County. I am attempting to rectify the issue. It may be due to signing petition from smart phone when traveling.
