Siblings belong together at Willow

I know the Lopez family really well. It breaks my heart that Scout is not with her siblings.

Help families stay together and not add undue burdens .

One sibling of four being excluded from an educational institution is inexplicable. What is gained from an educational perspective?

Keep families together.

Sibling matches should be a priority. Families should stay together. There are already too many obstacles for education in New Orleans. Keep siblings together.

Siblings belong in school together when they are young!! I taught middle school for 30 years and have never heard of one child being ostracized from her siblings in the school setting!!

I fully support the petition to establish a Sibling & Twin Unification Policy at The Willow School.

Use common sense!! Siblings should all be allowed to attend the same school. Don’t make this any harder for families.

Keeping siblings together is integral for social and academic development

This would be a huge help for us. We just moved from Chicago and our sixth grader was waitlisted and never got a seat. Period period.

Sibling preference is paramount to school choice being successful and effective for working families. Not having it flies in the face of the goals behind these programs.

Your policy of “no preference to siblings” makes no sense and is not in line with other private schools.

This is a hardship the school has full control over. Please allow siblings to stay together.

I am a triplet and my elementary school made sure that all the of us could be accommodated to attend and have our own classes to not compete directly with one another. I can't believe that after 3 years and student openings existing at the school that the other twin has not been admitted yet.

Twin and siblings should be given preference when all other admission criteria are equal. It would be psychologically damaging to a twin to continually be signaled they are less through admission denials.

I have worked with children and schools for many years and this is just not right. Most parents want their twins in the same class … and we are talking schools in this case! They learn and grow throughout the entire at school and home experience, I have never heard of this many years keeping siblings apart and not creating an opening.
