It does not make sense that Early Elementary students have to transfer and wait almost an hour for a bus. In a classroom, school districts are limited to the age span of students in the room. Why is it suddenly OK to mix them for transportation?

As I write my check to pay my taxes this week, I'm reminded that because of my choice to send my child to private school, I am saving the district significant sums of money. It follow, therefore, that the district should repay this savings by, at a minimum, providing the legally required transportation to the students of St. Joseph School without undue burden on these students and their parents. The current plan does not meet that standard.

This is a terrible plan for young grade school kids riding buses with high school kids. My daughter was forced to do that in the Cumb Valley district back in 1977. The high school kids picked on her...one boy sat with her every day when she wanted no part of it. This was my daughters 1st exposure to school. When I sent a note to the bus driver she was picked on even more...grabbing her papers and throwing them saying go tell your mother. She also had to change buses at high school. I ended up driving her to St Josephs School every day and we moved to Mechanicsburg borough where I still live. This was a long time ago and I can't believe Mechanicsburg School Dist is considering such a down right stupid idea. Please give more thought to the children you want to subject to that plan.

This is a terrible idea what parents don’t need is more worry about their children and where they are especially young children .

I'm not sure of the logic behind this plan. I would never recommend transporting kindergartners with high school students because it is unfair and unsafe for the kindergartners. Please go back to the drawing board on this one.

Terrible idea. How do we vote whoever came up with this out of office.

I have a 1st and a 4th grader in mechanicsburg school district. My 4th grader was horribly bullied by older students this past school year, it was so bad that we decided to pull both boys off of the bus.

The delay waiting for the transfer from bus to bus seems unreasonable.

Please find an appropriate way to make this work without grouping young students with high school students. i would request the bus program to remain unchanged

A five year old should not have to ride the bus with high schoolers and navigated transfers!

I dealt with this type of bus transportation over 30 years ago when I went to St Joe's. It was bad then and will only be worse now. Unacceptable way for my five year old to transfer to and from school.

This is unfair to non public school children and their parents who pay the same taxes as public school parents.

My mother is a teacher and drives my sister to the middle school and me to the high school every other week, but this schedule doesn't give us nearly enough time to get everyone to their destinations in the morning.

I strongly object to this plan...there is No Need for such move, this will confuse the kids more...over the years the ride time for kids have increased...this will further stress the kids and parents equally

We do not see a reason for a change and our 8 yr old daughter having to exchange buses.
