Robert J. Giardina, CEO Town Sports International Holdings NASDAQ: CLUB [email protected]

I am an African-American professional female that lives and works in the community.

The appalling behavior of the staff member at NYSC-Harlem must be addressed. The incident happened on June 7 when I challenged the staff member stating my membership was cancelled AGAIN. I advised him to call his managers as this happened before. I told him I would proceed to work out. 40 minutes later the NYPD showed up and told me to leave under the threat of arrest. The staff member never called management.

He did not call because he did not like my attitude. I was advised by the police (Ruiz and Field) and the staff member to return the next day.

I returned the next day and asked for the manager. The same staff member stated he was not there. THE STAFF MEMBER CALLED THE POLICE AGAIN..

This action was publicly humiliating, unprofessional, and against any policy of NYSC. The staff member reported I was threat and aggressive. At 5'3' I was verbally aggressive once the staff called the NYPD.

To date NYSC has only acknowledged an accounting error and asked how could they get me back as a client/member.

There has been no apology, no comments on the unnecessary calling of the police twice, no action against the staff member, no communication on procedures.

If you challenge your bill should you be threatened by arrest? We are looking for NYSC to properly address this incident.

Let's let them know this behavior is unacceptable and it cannot be tolerated.

Please sign my petition to the CEO of Town Sports International/ New York Sport Club.

Updates

June 14, 2014

The volume of support has now reached a level that allows me to escalate this to corporate legal counsel. I am currently finalizing a formal letter that outlines these incidents and demands a full investigation into staff conduct at the Harlem location.

Inexcusable behavior by the employee.. I suggest a hand written apology at the very least. Followed by suspension and some kind of social skills class from HR.. right your wrong!

One part of the problem is that on the second occasion his actions were with intent to be vindictive and cause humiliation. It cannot stand.

This is ridiculous. Calling the cops on a paying member because they asked a question? They need to fire that staff member immediately. This is blatant harassment.

NYSC has always been trash with their billing but this takes it to a whole new level. calling the cops is basically an intimidation tactic now? sick.
