Having grown up in Portsmouth as a skater, this is something that Portsmouth has always been missing. It would be an inspiration to young people.

Skateboarding is a very weather dependant sport along with bmx and scooters. This is a great opertunity as that walk space is so vast for how many people use it, this could keep people doing what they love especially on the days they have time but it's raining outside.

Sounds like a fantastic idea, that area is woefully short of recreational areas and something like this could be a real bonus for the kids in the north of the city who can’t travel all the way to Southsea or want to skate/ride in all weathers.
