My husband and I are both attended UNC-Pembroke and are first generation college graduates. The experiences and opportunities we had while at Pembroke we're life changing and we believe it was in large part due to the excellent faculty. Do not pass a bill that would encourage these wonderful faculty members to find employment at another university. The quality of educators that UNC-Pembroke employees is like none other, and should remain that way.

This is an insult to UNCP and all the current students & alumni (including myself & my sisters).

I earned two degrees from umcp while working and raiding a family. Afterwards I secured a job in student services for 15 years. There is a real need to keep uncp open as a regional institution.

This proposed bill poses imminent threats to quality education at UNC-P and devastating economic impact in Robeson County.

I don't think the state realizes what they would do to this town. The college wouldn't remain open long after tuition drops. My alma mater deserves more than this and so does my home. The college is all our town has.

I didn't go to UNCP, but I've visited their campuses many of times and I'm friends with a lot of their alum. My Alma mater, FSU, was on this bill and I know how it can hurt this amazing university. I stand with y'all and against this bill.

I am against this. As a graduate of UNCP my voice should be heard and considered.
