UNCP is a school unlike any other. Full of opportunity, poise, and people on top of a high class education providing every student with a complete college experience. This is due to our current student fees and tuition, cutting it will not be helpful towards maintaining the improvement Uncp has maid and the continued expansion of this historical university

UNCP is critical to the well being of Robeson County. It seems impossible that tuition of $500 per semester will sustain the operations of the university.

How can the legislation guarantee ongoing funding to make up for the loss of tuition monies?

As a student I feel like this legislation has not been thoroughly thought through. There are multiple aspects to community life that wouldn't be able to thrive as they do currently (i.e sports, and other extracurricular activities). More thought needs to be put in to how would the university retain professors and these extracurricular activities.

My daughter plans on going to UNC Pembroke. Yes I would love to have to only pay $500 for tuition, but then her education would lack. I would rather pay more for better education than pay less for poor education.

Please do not pass this legislation. This will destroy both UNC-P and Western Carolina University.

$500 sounds great when you look at the money aspect of just tuition alone but we have other things that are of a concern as well. what about the Departments that have to find ways to teach the students. There is no way these departments can be funded without money from the school. What type of education do you expect to receive when your department has no money to get the tools that you need to learn? For example the science department needs lots of extra things especially if you're talking about chemistry. If they can't buy the flask and other materials they need to teach with, there is no way that your education can be fulfilled on the level of every other university in this state.

I think it's a great idea and it would give people who's parents can't get financial aid a chance

It's already hard to find a job after graduation, don't make it harder by cheapening my degree!
