Please repeal this bill. My daughter attends UNC Pembroke.. Do not destroy this school and the others named in this bill. There is a better way, like proper funding from the state.

I am a proud Alumni of UNCP. I feel obligated to this being a former SGA Peesident, Board of Trustees member, my undergraduate chapter of Phi Beta Sigma. If anyone attended UNCP should sign this and all Native Americans no matter what tribe should sign. How many historical Native American University do we have. On that along they shouldn't even have us in the conversation.

While affordable education is a concern, it does not mean lowering to the point to where it is no longer beneficial. There are grants and scholarship's for those that need it.

I am an alumni OF UNCP. During my time spent at the school there were many projects that were planned but not started because of funding issues. Why would we lower the tuition if can't finish projects to improve the school. We would be doing a disservice to the students and the staff by cutting tuition which would cut funding for other activities and more. This is absurd.

An education with little cost is an education with little value. People unwilling to invest in themselves financially will be less likely to invest their time and effort in a quality education.
Don't drop tuition. Increase purely need-based scholarships and drop student load interest rates.

Everyone needs a chance to get an education; and lowering the tuition of these schools will demean the education is that people have ready received from the schools. No one wants a second-rate education leave the school's the way they are; if anything they need to be more fun than not reduced.

UNC- Pembroke serves as a beacon in the community and a pillar of education. The proposed bill threatens everything that makes UNC- Pembroke great. The proposed bill would defund UNC-Pembroke and lower the value of the education so many people are working towards. How can you pay campus programming, which is the center stone of education when there will be no money? This bill seems to be smoke in mirrors to destroy one of NCs minority institutions. Please dont pass it.

My daughter is a student there, going on her 3rd year. It would be an awful shame to have invested so much time, not to mention the thousands of dollars only to lose accreditation. I think this is unconstitutional.

Please repeal this petition. This bill will prohibit countless students from achieving the personal learning that allowed me to reach my potential and move on to my doctorate program. This bill will also hurt the schools integrity
