We, the undersigned faculty at UNC-Chapel Hill, have lost trust in the UNC Honor Court and demand the complete reform of the Court. Our concerns result from a series of mishandled cases and inappropriate verdicts rendered by the Court over a number of years. Accordingly, we call on the University to institute changes immediately to the Honor Court, including adding meaningful faculty involvement and oversight of the Honor system.

Updates

The level of engagement this petition has received underscores the urgent need for structural change within our Honor system. This momentum demonstrates that the faculty are unified in the pursuit of greater accountability and fairness.

Been hearing about how bad the court is since I started here. Hope this actually does something.

Unfair verdicts seem like a common trend lately. glad to see professors pushing for real changes.
