Students all across Duxbury High School have used NationStates to enrich their understanding or politics, government, history, and the world around us. With the new Sophos firewall, NationStates, an educational site with a fun twist, has been classified as a game and therefore blocked. We the students of Duxbury High School hereby petition to unblock NationStates and continue to enjoy our opportunities to enrich our understanding of government and politics.

I was reading through the comments earlier and it really hit me how many people are using this for actual history class research instead of just playing around during lunch. Some of you have sent me these incredibly detailed emails about how the current site filter is messing with your workflow and honestly I am just trying to organize all this data so when I finally get into the admin office I have something solid to show them.

I honestly cannot believe how many people are actually behind this and it is just so wild to see everyone coming together because honestly I thought I would be the only one missing my nation. It feels like the school might actually have to listen now since so many of us are on the same page about how boring the lunch hour is without our governments.

Yeah I agree. They have it blocked at my school with Cisco Umbrella. It's total Bs.
Nation States should not be unblocked as it creates a society, and healthy competition amongst students, as well teach students the issues that presidency can lead to.
