The reach of this petition has exceeded my original expectations and provided the leverage needed to request a formal meeting with the city council. I am currently drafting a letter to the municipal office to present our position on breed-specific legislation. Further details regarding the scheduled hearing will follow once the city clerk confirms the agenda.

These dogs are misunderstood. Stop blaming the breed and look at the actual facts for once.
My pit is the sweetest dog ever. It is so unfair to punish the dog for the bad choices of a few owners who dont know what they are doing.
Pit bulls are like any other animal. If you raise them to be vicious and mean they are a problem. Otherwise they are as loving and caring as any other well raised animal. I've yet to meet a Pit Bull who's not a lover!
I really hate this stereotypical world we live in, just because we have some bad eggs doesn't mean the whole basket is bad. People are stupid.
No one should have to get rid of their pit if it's well behaved unlike others dogs!
If there not harming anyone and are not aggressive than I see no problem.
Ridiculous law! Less laws more love !
