I think that this is a wonderful idea. I personally use the gym in tawes everyday and it's almost summer time. Something needs to happen!

I agree that there has been a blatant disregard for the the needs of the University's students. First of all the closing of Tawes in general was unknown to students until after the fact. Plus the first email stated that the workers would be done in a couple of days, then another email claimed it was just another week. It is now going on 3 weeks and it seems to me that the work will most likely not even be done until the semester is over. All I ask is for this school to take responsibility of the situation and give the requested needs to us the students, because isn't this part of what we paid for?

It shouldn't just be because Tawes is closed. Hytche should be open to ALL UMES students because as mentioned before, we pay $400+ in Athletic Fees.
