I 100% agree with the statements in this petition and am a sonographer who scans in pain. I believe that ultrasound is a modality that is not given acknowledgement or respect in the medical field and is beginning to become borderline abusive by other medical professionals. Those sonographer in the workforce will burn out at an exhaustive rate if we don't pay attention and sign petitions such as these!

Patient care, image quality and accuracy are decreased with an excessive work load. High patient voulumes can lead to repetitive motion injuries.

Half of the sonographers I work with have had hand or shoulder surgery due to WRMSD. Please help us stay safe and healthy to protect our future in the career we have chosen.
