It's so much harder when you work for a provider or practice you respect and want to work as hard as you can for. Just be open and honest with your employer about your physical limitations. This is not a reflection of your work ethic, but your tissue capacity. Feel free to share this petition and the White Paper on WRMSD's with your employer. This may help facilitate a good conversation about what you can do vs what they want you to do.

This is so accurate! Our health is in jeopardy every day we are scanning morbidly obese patients for the umpteenth time for something already known with no regard for our own safety.

Most people would never think of the work related pain and resulting muscular- skeletal injuries in sonography that is so real. Thank you for sharing this.

I have been a cardiovascular sonogragher for 21 years and my left shoulder and neck is always hurting. Something needs to change for sonographers. We should not have to work in pain.

Injured Sonographers increase costs for all organizations. Heavy caseloads mean lower quality care for patients as well as increased injuries for Sonographers.

I'm the only sonographer in a small vascular clinic. Average 5 procedures, 3 new patient scans and 8 followups a day. My boss wants to double that load! Been with him 15 years. He paid me during 7 wks off of covid chaos and 1 wk winter storm. He's like family but he doesn't understand the stress mentally and physically that I go through day to day.
