Story WAYYYY too long to tell here. 38 years of sonography. The last 28 at the same facility. Five hand surgeries two major neck surgeries all denied by Workmen’s Comp. I am 5’2” and 115 pounds. Final straw…….Scar from C3 to T-1 posteriorly. Denied because it was due to degenerative disc disease

As a person who has been passionate about becoming a Sonographer since the age of 13, and am now taking steps to pursue this career, I absolutely advocate for safety in this field and the well being of all hard working Sonographers globally!

I have scanned for almost 10 years and live in chronic pain. Unable to stop because my child is in the spectrum and he’s in a private school.

After 39 years scanning and carrying work related injuries it’s time to address this issue . A well written argument on a very topical and timely subject. Couldn’t agree more .

Thank you for bringing all of this out in the open. It’s ridiculous how my hospital runs the echo lab.

This is so important, both for the health and well being of Sonographers and also for accuracy of diagnosis and patient care.

Sonographer’s working conditions and ergonomics are crucial. Long lasting career can also be physically painful daily.

Acceptable time for exams and a limit to the number of exams per day to limit injury.
