I suffered from Lymes disease for 17 years, and got no help whatever from the UK. I thankfully finally found out about it in France, and got my treatment from France and Germany, or I would have continued to ruin my life forever without knowing what it was or how to tackle it. I got rid of it in just three years of treatment, after having had it for at least 17 years. It is vital to promote awareness in the UK. It could save lives.

It's time all doctors are informed that lymes disease is real and not imagined.

Can we do this in the USA too please?

It is shocking that a British Citizen cannot get treatment on the NHS for this disease. A friend is having to travel to the USA for treatment, all funded from her own pocket. The NHS should be ashamed of itself!

I had to travel to US to get effective tests and treatment...three and a half years on I am 95% improved...UK health professionals ..don't seem to get that they have to treat multiple infections at the same time to have any chance ..as these co-infections allow the Lyme to hide from our immune system

Lyme can be cured, why are they letting so many suffer unnecessarily? :(

Awareness of LYMES disease, is of the upmost importance, to stop more children and adults contracting it. Because apart from the suffering it affects the economy

As somebody who suffered with chronic Lyme for ten years, this disease needs to be recognised TODAY. The NHS needs to understand that Lyme Disease is the cause behind many of the symptoms that they spend millions of pounds trying to treat. Treat the cause not the symptoms and wise up!!

Failure to recognize and treat Lyme disease leads to considerable unnecessary suffering. This can be stopped by raising awareness and providing the funding for more extensive testing. Lets do it.
