UK Work Permit rules should be changed to allow for upcoming players from abroad to be able to play in non-league before moving onto professional football. This comes after FCUM player Papis Djeeyte was not allowed to play for the club in competitive football, as his work permit only covers professional football. We believe that this is ridiculous as in the UK, non-league football is used as a stepping stone for a player to move into the professional game. It is very unfair that Papis, and other players in a similar position are being held back by this ruling.
