Time and time again innocent people being murdered by prisoners being released and committing multiple offences again and again. Why should we pay for these monsters to be kept alive. If a dog seriously bites a person it is immediately put to death. There is no difference between these horrible so called humans and animals. To ensure public safety they should be denied life itself.

If the death penalty is no deterrent, why do convicts struggle so hard to avoid it? People who fall on hard times of any kind are told cuts have to be made. Yet there is endless money available from the taxpayer for long prison sentences, Where there is no doubt, the penalty for murder, attempted murder, throwing acid, terrorism, selling drugs, should be death. For child-abuse gangs, surgical castration and release to the streets - to warn others - is more appropriate.

I think the death penalty should be brought back like in the olden days because it would definitely make people think twice before murdering someone and it would only be fair that a life a killer is taken away for the life of an innocent. As the saying goes: an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a limb for a limb, a life for a life..
