We at the underwater hockey club would find this a good idea as we can promote a college/uni sport further in Inverness.
I have seen the swim team squeeze into a part of the pool at the leisure centre. It's a shame. This is not allowing them to reach there full potential. A Olympic size pool would make a huge difference. Not only for the swimming team but also for the people who wish to learn to swim at the leisure centre. At the moment each group has a limited amount of space. It's not enough for the beginners or the advanced. A separate pool for swim team and beginners would be a huge benefit to Inverness.
MY KIDS WOULD LOVE A NEW POOL. THE LEISURE CENTRE IS JUST TOO SMALL NOW AND HARDLY EVER HAS SPACE FOR PROPER TRAINING.
Inverness is crying out for a proper pool. The current ones are always packed and you can barely get a lane to yourself. Do the right thing.
Great idea for the area. Would be good to have a pool that can actually hold local competitions properly.
It would be a great investment for Watersports in the Highlands.
