We the undersigned Rate Payer of the South Coast of KZN
have major concerns regarding UGU District Municipality and Hibiscus Coast Municipality
For the following reasons:
a) Duplication of Councilors, Mayors, Management and other infrastructures
b) UGU’s poor financial management history
c) High cost to Ratepayers
d) Funds being spent on superfluous personnel which could otherwise go to infrastructure development.
e) Unfair Tariff structures
f) Poor economic development of the South Coast
g) Unsustainable rates and tariffs
h) Undue burden on the Treasury
Further details and supporting annexure are attached hereto
Our demands are as follows:
That in terms of Act 117 of 1998 the Minister withdraws the declaration of the District manager area and establishes ONE Municipality to service the KZN South Coast community in all aspects, and so ensuring that services are carried out in an economic, effective, efficient, transparent and sustainable manner as envisaged by the constitution.
the water situation is an absolute joke. zero accountability from these people.
