Friday cafe at the international center has been one of my favorite parts of being a ucsd student; I've met people who are currently some of the most important in my life. Please don't tear down the international center before making plans to rebuild it

The International Center is vital to keep on attracting young talents and to help them and their family to integrate in their new home. It's a lively place where to make friends, always organizing nice activities to allow all to enjoy life in San Diego. Please don't demolish it!

The International Center is an integral part of the UCSD and San Diego communities. It has brought joy, comfort, and opportunities to generations.
The Chancellor has committed to the uninterrupted continuation of all the current programs in the International Center. To ensure such commitment, UCSD needs to develop a comprehensive and realistic plan for how and where the various staff, organizations, programs will be housed if the International Center is to be demolished.
Simpler, cheaper, and more advisable would be for the university to upgrade the existing facilities. Demolishing the building before the construction of the planned Gateway structure is short-sighted. Further, it undermines the university's attempts to build bridges with the community, to internationalize the campus, and to help the under-served.

The center is an important initiation point for new international students, who are a growing component of UCSD. My students have benefited from it, and I urge that we preserve the center, or at least rebuild it. I support that the demolition be delayed.

The UCSD International Center has done excellent work over the years. It would be a pity to lose it. Some definite plan for a new location for the center should be in place before the current structure is destroyed.

I have fond memories of my years as a volunteer at the UCSD International Center and I just cannot imagine how it will serve its numerous invaluable functions without dedicated facilities.
