im still getting emails from people who have had the exact same experience at uclh and it is honestly heartbreaking to read. im talking to a few folks about how to bring this to the board directly because ignoring us isnt going to make this problem go away.

im honestly blown away by how much this has taken off and cant believe the level of support showing up right now. this energy is exactly what we need to keep pushing forward despite what happened with the original page.

The lack of storage increases the workload considerably. It becomes impossible to clear out your email inbox because you can only delete emails when you have replied to them and you can't reply to them because your inbox is too full! This requires you to move emails in and out of archives and therefore you risk losing or missing important emails.
A secure email to exchange patient sensitive information across Trusts/organisations is necessary to move away from fax machines and postal service!! Mailbox is also too small.
it is impossible to work split site with two hospitals that are in such close contact (GOSH and UCLH) seeing patients simultaneously at both (surgery in one radiaition in another) and not able to access patient data or send information confidentially in a timely way to myself. the two systems arre mututally incompatible (gosh wont support nhs.net as storage too small, unless this is changing ) and duplication means endless time wasted. better management of spam is also required
I work at two hospitals. My other trust uses Exchange with easy off-site access and no storage problems for its inbox. My UCLH account needs only a couple of big attachments to get jammed (ironically, usually sent by people from non-UCLH accounts). My current NHS.net redirect of UCLH emails is only a partial solution as it strips out all cc's (and then I have to watch two email accounts for replies).
The email service is slow and inadequate in a number of respects, including storage size, spam management, and accessibility. It is becoming increasingly time consuming trying to manage it efficiently, time which is being diverted from patient care.
use nhs.net - much bigger capacity. stop sending us massive emails!
We might be better of using nhs.net

Keeps hanging up. External e-mails are very slow to open. Sometimes you send an e-mail and it does not send, but the user gets no feedback or error message.
