Dear faculty of FPMU101A,

As the students of the first class of the BSPH program, we have been so honored and delighted to have you as our instructors for the first epidemiology and biostatistics course taught in the history of UCSD at the undergraduate level. We respect the guidelines that you have clarified since the beginning of the course, but given that this is the first time the course is taught in this new program, it is a new learning experience for both faculty and students, thus a flexible approach should be taken, especially in regards to the rigid grading guidelines.

We are uniting with the intent that we can come to a mutual understanding for each other, to continually improve this program. We would like to kindly ask you to reconsider the grading scale in order to adjust for a more fair representation of our passion and dedication to the field of public health.

This class was brutal for the first run. The learning curve was way to steep and the grading feels pretty unfair for a pilot course.

We put so much work into this. Please consider curving the final grades. Its only fair since we were the test group for the whole program!
