I do realize you have your hands full At this time navigating how to put an entire school on virtual classes. No one is discounting that and we Realize this is uncharted territory. We ask that you, in your deliberations, first consider how to hold a graduation for the entire class at a later date rather than simply honoring them in some alternate form. Not everyone would be able to attend, of course, but please show that yourself putting your heart into still holding a ceremony for these amazing graduates. Thank you for all your navigating during these trying times.

As the parent of a senior in High School heading to Alabama in the fall, it absolutely breaks my heart for all who do not get to walk graduation, who do not get to throw their caps in the air to celebrate, who do not get to enjoy some the last celebrations of being a young person without so many responsibilities. Getting their diploma in the mail just doesn't cut it.

My daughter is devastated by not being able to walk across the stage to receive her diploma after four years and a double major with high honors. She is off to law school in the fall so that might still make it impossible for her to attend depending on dates, but she would still want her friends and fellow students to walk.

All the kids have earned this honor . This means so much to me as my daughter lost her father and grandmother while attending school which was very difficult for her to push on. BUT SHE DID!! She needed an extra semester to do so but did it and I am in awe of her and her hard work and dedication.

Such a difficult time but we will get through it together. When things settle down we hope UA will offer a new graduation date for Spring 2020 class.

Please give the graduating seniors the option to walk, even if it is at the December graduation ceremonies. The ceremony is a proud and life-affirming moment for the students, their families, and friends. It is the final stage of four years of hard work and great memories. To deprive them of the opportunity is anticlimactic.

All I can say is our daughter has spent the majority of her life, working hard , sacrificing and putting everything she has into the anticipation of this day. She also participated in the AMP program so if this is not rescheduled, she will have lost the chance to walk for both her bachelors and masters degree. U/A has always excelled in every way for our students. So, I am holding out hope that they will, as always, rise to the occasion, and do the right thing., and make this well deserved honor eventually happen for these students.

I am all for any way these kids can walk at graduation. Such a sad way to end 4 years of hard work if that is not possible.

Graduation ceremony is a true honor that brings closure to 4-years of hard work. It would be unfortunate to have it stripped away because of this pandemic.
