The Child Support Accountability Act will require receivers of child support to be accountable for what funds are being used for. It will benefit all parties involved.
The payer will know what funds are being used on to ensure they are benefiting the child (children).
The receiver can show where funds are going and have support to request additional funds if the need is there.
The child (children) will have the benefit of receiving all support they need to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

I pay $800 a month for one child. I know a 10 year old does not use that much so yes I will sign to be able to see where the money goes.

Just curious. What if you pay child support for joint custody. But you have the child 4 days out of the week. Sometimes 5 days out of the week?

I pay 1500 a month for my 4 and 6 year old sons. She's not buying them shoes, clothes or haircuts, I always have to.
This is long overdue. Unfortunately the bad apples impact the parents that do there part for there kids.
Texas should be as concerned about where the support go as they are about collecting it.

This should have been the law in the first place, its absolutely ridiculous that this isn't just common sense and good morals!!
$1600 for child support a month for two kids. That's not including $400 for alimony. The two worst things I've seen is both kids' school lunch balances have been negative twice this year and she's purchased two new cars. Get this into law now.
Victim of this outrageous injustice. Supportive of my child for years and not a penny seems to go towards his welfare.
This mediator (https://www.mediate.com/articles/if_they_can_do_parenting_plans.cfm) has been using a child support trust account in the form of a shared checking account that both parents contribute to for over 30 years. The only reason that I can find that more states do not use this type of child support trust are the kickbacks that states receive under the Child Support Performance and Incentive Act for increasing the gross amount of 'child support' collected.
