Take a look at what jeepers are spending to put diesels in their rigs, and rethink why they're doing it. I would only be interested in paying the kind of money we are talking about for a new jeep, if it was a 2 Door Diesel Rubicon with a manual transmission. A real off road machine with torque and range.

Will only buy a diesel Wrangler if it is a 2-door. Not interested in a 4-door Jeep; already have a 4-door Range Rover diesel and 4-door Mercedes diesel.

A diesel in a 2 door would be the main reason why I would upgrade to a JL. This is providing the up charge to purchase and the cost of ownership are in line.
