im honestly blown away by how much energy is building for the observatory right now. seeing so many people agree that this place needs to be saved is just incredible and it feels like we are finally gaining some real steam.

We need some sort of representation of space and cosmology academia in Lebanon, and it should be the duty of the country's leading university to do that!
This makes sense on so many levels: 1) It allows us to celebrate a hugely significant part of AUB's history 2) It can inspire students and visiting youngsters and bring out a passion for science 3) Using it as an office with no significance is a MAJOR waste
I would love to see what the observatory looks like as I've never been inside in my 4 years of studying in AUB.
I love everything about space and it was always a tease, passing by the observatory without being able to access it. Hopefully, this will help change that.
Converting the Lee Observatory to a modern museum would preserve and celebrate the history of a structure that once epitomized scientific discovery and advancement of knowledge.

I think that it is really important for this observatory to be reopened again. It's a great pride to AUB that we have the first observatory in the middle east and to Lebanon as well!
