This review and re-evaluation should take place with an eye on removal as soon as possible. His skewed outlook on Texas history is not in keeping with actual history but rather bias with little scholarly perspective

Born Odessa TX, August 1946. I remember my Texas history classes.. while I am not a Phd, I do know that Dr. Buenger's performance is not supportive of our true history. The only word to use to explain his actions is Woke.

Evidently he doesn't have any respect for Texas History and should look elsewhere for employment.

Texas history should be supported and shared, as it represents a major portion of U. S. History.

Buenger is a disgrace to UT Austin. His opinion of the Alamo reflects a disgusting and dangerous view. Unacceptable and revolting to sully the memory of the gallant and brave men who died March 6, 1836 to bring FREEDOM to Texans. His remarks about "whiteness" serve to show his bias, nothing more. History is history and no one cares if the heroes were white or brown. He needs to be dismissed!!!!!!

Lots of Hispanics died at the Alamo alongside their fellow freedom fighters. This man is sloppy in his research and statements about white supremacy. Time he was shown the door.

A serious audit needs to be done at every state supported institution and every one of them needs to be trimmed of the fat.

I do advocate for a performance review I also hope that we will we not be presented with more insanity which seems to advocate for rewriting our history.

I know NO Texan that would agree with this man. I do not believe he is fit for this job. His views are very anti-Texan, and very wrong!

Professor Walter L. Buenger is welcome to his opinions no matter how far in left field they are, but he shouldn't be allowed to present them on behalf of the State of Texas, because he is wrong, wrong, wrong!
