Please recognize the infiltration that has occurred by anti-American perspectives into historical and museum worlds, not to mention academia. The goal:”fundamental transformation” away from America’s First Principles. Please evaluate with this in mind.
Sincerely, Dr.Ann McLEAN, American Historian

This guy is not fit to each or comment on history in such a hate filled, biased manner.

We don't need a "Woke" version of Texas History to be taught. We need someone that will stick to the facts and honor our true history.

I desire to see history represented with historical facts, not a forced “woke” critical theory that holds no basis of true actions of heroic ancestors. We don’t need revisionist history based on today’s social fads and trends.

Dr. Buenger appears to have no respect for Texans or the true history of this great state. It is long past time for a review.

For racially charged and politically motivated comments towards the Alamo, it’s defenders, and the Texas Revolution overall. His apparent lack of knowledge that the Texas Revolution was a multi-faceted conflict, spurred initially by civil unrest in Mexico in the year 1835, and was supported by a significant amount of Mexican and Tejano natives should alone be enough for expulsion. Polarized and one sided perspectives should not be condoned by a leader of such a significant institution.

As bad as was "historical" misinformation regarding the Alamo Cenotaph a couple of years back.

Past time for a traditional historian to fill this role.

As a 7th generation Texan, I have been extremely upset about the way Dr. Buenger has twisted the history of Texas to make it into a rascist history. The heroes of the Texas Revolution were fighting Mexico because Mexico was taking away many of their freedoms, not because of slavery. Dr. Buenger should NOT be allowed to have another 5 year term!

My grandmother's cousin, Eugene C. Barker was an early professor of Texas History at Texas University. He was a man of integrity whose focus was preserving our history.
